helpIntroductionTo upload your wardrobe you must use an Android emulator with root support on PC or Mac. Click on the steps for detailed instructions or watch Vivi's guide on YouTube.
Note: If your phone or tablet is rooted and an Android device, you may skip these steps and directly upload the wardrobe data file using this page, see step 4 for the data file location. -
helpStep 1: Download and install NoxPlayerDownload NoxPlayer from the official website. It is an android emulator which allows you to play Android games on PC or Mac.
-
helpStep 2: Enable rootYou must root the emulator to access private game files. To do this click on the small gear icon in NoxPlayer, go to General settings and select "On" from the drop-down list next to "Root". See the documentation for more help.
-
helpStep 3: Install and start Love NikkiFind the Google Play Store app inside the emulator. Login to your account then search for "Love Nikki". Install and start the game as usual. You need to login using your Facebook account to sync your wardrobe from the server.
-
helpStep 4: Copy your wardrobe dataGo back to the Android home screen using the home icon on the emulator. Start the "File Manager" app. Browse to
/data/data/com.elex.nikkigp/files/usrdat
and tick the "clothes_date" file. Do not select the "new_clothes" file.
If you do not have the "File Manager App": First, open Amaze. If it is not on the home screen, look in the “Tools” folder. If the app asks, you can grant Superuser access. Ensure you are in the root folder (three lines at the top left, and then “Root”). Navigate to the file path mentioned above, and copy the “clothes_date” file (click the three dots next to the file name and then “Copy”). Return to the root folder (click the three dots at the top of the screen and then “Home”), and then navigate to “/storage/emulated/0/Download”. Paste the file there. -
helpStep 5: Upload your wardrobe dataNow go to "/mnt/shared/Other" and click the menu item with 8 squares. Click on "Copy selection here" to copy the wardrobe data. You may want to bookmark those folders for future use. If you're on Windows you will find the wardrobe data file in C: → Users → *name* → Nox_share → Other or by using the shortcut button. If you're on Mac copy and paste this exactly on one line into the Terminal app (note the spaces and slashes) to open the hidden directory: open ~/Library/Application\ Support/Nox\ App\ Player/Nox_share/Other
Move the "clothes_date" file somewhere convenient (like your desktop). Go back to this window and select this file using the "Select File" button below and then click "Import".
If you do not have the "File Manager App": Minimize the app, and open Gmail. Sign in, and go to attach a file (the paperclip icon). When prompted, choose Amaze, and navigate to where you saved the file. Attach it to the email. You can either save it as a draft or send it to another email; either way you can access it later by going to your email on your computer.
Access the email you used, and go to the Drafts folder (or Sent if you sent the email to yourself) and download the attached file. Save it to a spot where you can find it, and import it to the site. -
developer_modeAdvanced method: Using Genymotion instead of NoxDownload Genymotion Personal Edition (free) and install it. If Genymotion didnt install VirtualBox during this process, you can find it here. Start Genymotion and install the prefered device from the list. Keep note of the Android version used for the next step (it should be one of Lollipop, Marshmallow or Oreo). Double click the installed device from the installed devices list. Follow the instructions here to add ARM architecture support to the emulator, as this is what Love Nikki uses. Install Love Nikki on the emulator either by directly dragging the APK file into the running emulator window, or by installing Google apps using the Open GApps button in the right icons list. This will enable you to use the Google Play store and install Love Nikki from there. To create a share for the "clothes_date" file transfer to your computer, you will need to modify the VirtualBox setting for the device with guidance here. The location of the "clothes_date" is as in the normal Nox insctructions. You may need to install an app on the emulator such as "Root Browser" in order to be able to find and copy the file.
